(Bacterial alpha amylase enzyme used for desizing process)

Description: Lyzerzyme DS is a bacterial alpha amylase, used for desizing of garments and fabrics sized with starch, starch derivatives or blend of starch and other synthetic sizing components like PVA. The speedy action of amylase converts starch size and its derivatives into soluble dextrin’s, glucose and maltose, which can easily be removed by rinsing the garments or fabrics. Chelating agents are to be avoided as water hardness increases the stability of the enzyme. If iron contamination is sensed, chelating agents can be used, however addition of about 200ppm of calcium ions and sodium ions into the bath enhances the stability of the enzyme.

LyzerSoft AC-D can be added along with Lyzerzyme DS for better penetration and size swelling to facilitate easy removal of waxes and glue, which form part of size composition. A lubricant helps to prevent formation of crease and streak marks.

Temperature varies between 55- 85 deg cen at a pH of about 5. to 8.5. The dosage varies between 5-10 gm per piece for duration of 20 to 30 minutes. Lyzersoft AC-D is recommended for a thorough cleaning and prevention of re-deposition.
