LyzerFix LA
Best accelerator for developing disperse colour gives 15 to
25% higher colour value
Best accelerator for developing disperse colour printed
polyester materials by loop steaming / thermofixing. The
addition of LyzerFix LA gives 15 to 25% higher colour value
depending upon the chemical nature of the colour. LyzerFix LA is
a useful tool for improved leveling when printed goods are to be
developed by HTHP steaming & for dyeing by ‘Pad - Dry - Develop’
method.
PHYSICAL & CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
1. Pale yellow transparent viscous liquid.
2. Mild harmless odour.
3. Dilutable with water to any extent. pH of 10% solution is
5.0-5.5
4. Nonionic in nature.
PRINTING APPLICATION
1. Make the gum paste as usual.
2. Add citric acid or any suitable acid to adjust the pH to 5.0
- 5.5.
3. Add 1.0 - 2.0 % of LyzerFix LA as an accelerator in above gum
for prints to be developed by ‘Loop Aging’. Add 0.25 - 0.5% of
LyzerFix LA to the above gum as the leveling agent if prints are
to be developed by HTHP.
4. Add predispersed colour in adequate quantity of water and mix
well to obtain desirable depth and tone of the shade.
5. Print, dry, loop age/thermofix/HTHP as usual.
6. Wash, dry and finish as usual. For washing refer our product

MECHANISM OF LYZERFIX LA
LyzerFix LA acts as a hydrotropic agent, dissolving the colour
in itself and then getting dissolved in aqueous phase. This
reduces the particle size of the disperse colour, making it
easier to penetrate. After printing and drying, LyzerFix LA
forms the near most layer to the polyester because of its
affinity to the same. Disperse colour dissolves in this layer
and transfers to the polyester, giving better colour value.
LyzerFix LA when used in discharge prints, gives improved
clarity of the discharge effects.
LyzerFix LA fixes more amount of colour, leaving less amount of
free colour to be washed off in subsequent process. This reduces
the colour load in washing giving more probability to obtain
tint free, brighter prints.
DYEING APPLICATION
Addition of 10 to 15 gpl of LyzerFix LA in padding solution for
‘Pad Dry Develop’ method gives excellent leveling for dyed

LyzerFix LA is also useful in resist printing to obtain more
clear, bright resist effects both in disperse & reactive
illuminating colours. LyzerFix LA helps in obtaining level

Another end use of LyzerFix LA is in pigment printing. At 0.5 %
level it improves the levelness & penetration of the print &
feel of the cloth. The colour value is also improved to the
extent of 5 to 10% depending on colour to colour.
In another application LyzerFix LA has helped in improving the
brightness of the rubber balloon. LyzerFix LA is added to the
extent of 20 g/l to the acetic acid bath used for coagulation.
Remaining process of manufacturing is unaltered. The balloons
show brighter colours even after blowing.
STORAGE: The product enjoys
very good shelf life and warrants no particular storage
conditions. However it is always advisable to have moderate
conditions with the container being recapped tightly after use.
9 to 12 months if stored below 30°c
