LyzerContra DS
(Discharging agent for disperse dyestuff.)
Lyzercontra DS is a versatile chemical offered in paste form and
appears off white to pale yellow in colour. It is recommended to
obtain multicolour effects on polyester or polyester containing
fabrics as well as to obtain clean white prints on polyester
containing fabrics.
Lyzercontra DS prevents the development of selected disperse
dyestuff on polyester fabric thereby facilitating white printed
effects. However, by using selective combination of disperse
dyestuff it is possible to obtain bright coloured patterns, the
coloured portions appearing much brighter in tone than other
similar chemicals in the market. Depending upon the depth of the
ground shade as well as method of dyeing the concentration of
Lyzercontra DS ranges from 5 to 15%.

For colour discharge the requisite quantity of non-dischargeable
dyestuff is used in the print paste recommended for white
discharge, the ground colour being dischargeable. The recipe
given for colour discharge is used for fully dyed goods, whereas
in case of fabrics merely padded with disperse dyestuff, the
conc. of Lyzercontra DS may be reduced by about 50% depending on
the depth of ground shade. The fixation process is completed by
pressure steaming at 25 to 30 lb/sq. in at 130 deg cen. For 25
to 30 minutes. Alternately it can also be fixed by high
temperature steaming at 170 deg cen. For about 7-10 minutes.
The steamed fabric is subsequently reduction cleared with 2gpl
of caustic soda and 2gpl of sodium hydro sulphite at 80 deg cen.
for 15-20 minutes to remove unfixed dyestuff as well as to
improve the brightness of the prints. Finally the goods are
given a thorough soaping to remove all extraneous matter.
STORAGE: The product enjoys
very good shelf life and warrants no particular storage
conditions. However it is always advisable to have moderate
conditions with the container being recapped tightly after use.
9 to 12 months if stored below 30°c
